I became a quilter in 1988 and my first entry into a quilt show won me the Championship at Quilts UK in 1994. A National Championship followed in 2000, and there have been several other prizes over the years, including a second place in the two-person class in the World Quilt Championships in America. Since then I have experimented with a wide range of textile techniques, developed some of my own, and travelled widely while teaching patchwork and quilting. My weakness for unusual fabrics came in very useful when I started making character dolls. These days I concentrate on textile art, framing my work instead of leaving it free-hanging. I teach regularly and welcome commissions.
